In July 2009, Salt Separation Services were awarded a contract for a 400 m3/dseawater Reverse Osmosis (RO) desalination plants for installation on-board the cruise ship Crystal Symphony.

The plant will include an energy recovery device to reduce the overall cost of producing fresh water by reducing energy requirements in the order of 30 to 40%.

It is anticipated that installation on-board Crystal Symphony will commence in April 2010.

For a record 14th year, Crystal Cruises has been voted “World’s Best Large-Ship Cruise Line” by the readers of Travel + Leisure magazine.  The ultra-luxury line is the only cruise line, resort or hotel to have won the prestigious award each year since the awards’ inception.
