Salt Separation Services have recently been awarded a contract for a further two containerised 120 m3/d RO desalination plants for Ascension Island.

The contract, from the BBC World Service, was awarded almost two years after the original two plants were commissioned.

The plants, which  are fitted with energy recovery devices to reduce absorbed power, will eventually replace the existing distillation plants that have reached the end of their serviceable life
